There’s a time and a place for transactional relationships. But anytime a business, in any industry, creates an emotional connection with a client, the nature of the relationship changes. It becomes less about the clients’ relationship to the ‘brand’ but about their relationships to the humans that represent that brand. There are lots of very specific strategies and systems a business can employ, like a sincere and warm greeting by name when a client comes in. But the core principle is expressing through behavior ‘you matter’ and you aren’t just a number.”
